I originally had the SJ but it was like a bomber jacket and rode up at the back when sat down. I’ve now got the FJ and can’t recommend it enough. From Oct - May, i never take it off (when fishing of course!). Just been the lakes and it was freezing with a 30mph wind and i was never cold. Just a...
Pineapple does it for me! The old (90’s)10mm solar pineapple pop ups were a killer for Tench, Bream & Roach and have stuck to it ever since (N-butric acid type)
No thanks, i don’t own any now. Never liked the LD’s either tbh. Get rid asap if i were you as the market for them is dying off (literally!). SX & TV’s were going for ridiculous amount's 10-15 years ago but none of the kids want them now. At some point the youngsters might pull their pants up...
That was the last photo of the day. We’d had really good, sunny weather all day the decided to have one last photo before the rain started and was caught just as i looked up and said “here comes the rain”
Was a great day and consider myself a lucky lad. We’ve known each other since the age of 4...
I’d pay anything to go on any of my favourite lakes how they were back in the early 80’s through to mid 90’s!
I travelled far & wide mainly after Tench & Bream and loved the solitude and pioneering spirit i felt (even though most had been fished before me obviously!)
Seems like every venue is...
Sorry for boring you but just noticed i’ve used same pictures as i used last time (forgot as it was so long ago!)
It’s the only pics i’ve got on my phone 🤦🏻♂️
That was my last one (‘62 series 2) full nut & bolt. Have given up now as dont really enjoy riding them these days, road condition & traffic speed (or just getting too old!).
This is one of my wedding photos (Brighton)
Must have gone up this month. Still worth it for the initial binge as theres more than a tenners worth of good viewing. I’ll probably leave it for a year or so now as i’ve watched most things. 👍
You watch & download via the app but have to buy & cancel via the website (i buy the £7.99 per month option, then cancel it almost straight away so that i just get 1month viewing a couple of times a year when there is enough new material to watch)
Perhaps not the best thing but arrived at a disappointingly low river Severn a couple of seasons ago and after choosing a swim and fishing for 1/2 hour i spotted something in the margins which looked like a bomb!
I rang the local bailiff who turned up, agreed it was a bomb & rang the bomb squad...
I was tempted too as i changed from ATTx to TLB+ for the versatility which the new ATTa now has but have decided to keep the TLB’s. It all comes down to which you prefer to look at i think and i like mine. They are pretty bombproof and the twisty bit on the new ATTa’s might prove unreliable...
The deeper is fine & the attachment on the phone works well. I was worried that i’d cast my phone off into the lake on a good cast but not, it’s really secure! Really easy to use and you can build a detailed picture of a lake in no time (without paying any subscription)
I’ve got the drennan & ESP one (basically the same with different size clips to suit the rucksack) and find them excellent. Light & well made, pegging points and can use either flat or cradle style
