I use the Expedition it's great braid, you can get 300yds off Temu for 15 quid...

I watched Dave Harrell, catch a barbel and he had a suitable sized net... In flood on the wye, if your gonna win a match, it's Bleak or Barbel... he certainly wasn't after Bleak with a feeder rod.. FGS a third of its body was hanging out his landing net... Mat men ain't bothered about fish...

It was tongue in cheek Neil, sorry if it i offended etc... some people think the Trents stuffed with Barbel.... it ain't, as most rivers that aren't intermittently stocked, it's on a downward slope.... You will have to come with me next summer Neil to try, hope u accept my offer...

Oh no, my favourite rods have new runners on....... I'm quite happy with the ones I have got on, i was sceptical, but can't fault them, they could put some old seymos on, I'd still get them. The jewel is the blank... Daiwa missed out again imo, should have put some K guides/antifrap that would...

I have these on my Tench, Bream and Roach rods, they are superb at fishing distance and short. I also have a set on my 10ft Carp rods... with spare spools as standard too...

I have both, imo exactly the same size etc. You can just get more line on the 8000 as it's a deeper spool... which you probably won't ever need...

Etienne, what info did you get off Steve Harrison for these new rods? If any.

I'm absolutely the opposite Simon, I had some Xteas some years ago, brand new, I so wanted to get on with them, but couldn't in the end... It's better stay with what you know, because when you get a serious fish on it could all.end in disaster... I did fancy a set of 6000xaeros, for my lake...
