Mine has been fine. Bit unusual that you have to log in via a link every time. I did find that after the 3rd log in the link wouldnt work due to not closing down the previous times (i didnt realise that they were still ‘open’ if that makes sense?)
Once i’d closed down the previous pages, all was...
As can’t stop thinking about a big Perch…..(seems that everyone else is catching them apart from me! 🤣)
Completely given up with the dropshotting, not for me so am concentrating on float fishing (mainly stillwaters).
Has anyone used the Drennan extension float rod? Seems perfect for the job (2...
I was the same, buying & absorbing every bit of information i could. Coarse fishing handbook & big fish world were 2 good ones imho and books by Tony Miles, Jim Gibbinson etc. Nowadays, if i do buy a magazine, i find the adverts more interesting
We’ve caught 3 years on the trot. No monsters (yet) 18lb biggest. Its the access thats the hardest part and knowing the area. Luckily we meet up with mates from Kendal as i’d never find some of the places again!
Yes, almost always use red magotts. I just think Prawns are a ‘perfect’ bait. Easy to use and i tend to squeeze short sessions in when i can so they are handy. If they aren’t working, i’m obviously prepared to change but just cant understand why they wont work. There is 3 of us that have all...
The Perch on my local canal are really frustrating! Drop shotted for 3 seasons and only caught small fish to about 10oz (might be my technique?). Odd better fish caught on worm but no fish caught on Prawn at all. Deadbaiting with 3” roach for Pike one day produced a BIG Perch (between 2-21/2lb)...
Yes thanks Daniel, just subscribed for a month and realised that you can scroll left/right to access a lot more!
Loads more than was first apparent so seems well worth it for about the price of a bag of groundbait for hours of entertainment
Hi, has anyone any experience of this recently?
I’m not interested in the politics surrounding anyone or the venues used during filming, just wanted to know if there is more to see once ‘signed up’?
Looking at it on the website there are only about 6 or 7 short films and a monthly subscription...
I have 2x (Blue) Gardner ATTS bite alarms for sale. They are silent alarms and will require a sounder box to produce any sound. Bought earlier this year but only used for 2 morning sessions in the summer (i also have TLB+ so need my sounder box) All work perfect & have batteries included £80...
Sometimes you dont have the choice! I’m lucky i only fish midweek (due to shifts) but i’ve been on stetches where they are that busy not only are you stuck in one swim, it's the only swim available & wouldn’t be your first or 3rd choice! (I soon move on elsewhere if thats the case)
For me depends on how long i’m there and what the swim has in it. Some swims only seem to have one obvious holding spot so an hour is usually enough. Some swims have everything and have 4 or 5 castable spots so will stop longer to explore. Think you know when it’s time to move on, otherwise...
I’m just over 6’ & 88kg and a medium is perfect. Can get fortis FJ9 under it but it isnt too baggy without. I buy large in most things but these are certainly oversized. Can get you measurements from mine if helps
Fishing holiday without doubt. If you’re happy with all your gear it’ll just be ‘another rod’ or whatever. I go Windermere every year for a pike weekend and it’s one of the highlights of the year. Great memories are priceless and worth much more than another bit of tackle sat in the tackle shed 👍
