Trouble is when moving swims and I want to fold them down the 4 sections could be a nightmare.
Yeah wouldn't want a fully telescopic rod, I'd imagine them to be crap! Figured the retractable butt section wouldn't be too bad.
That's great, thanks mate.
Never used a rod with a retractable butt section before, I'll check out a second hand scope rod. Did have a quick look at them, their guides seem to be on the wrong way round! What that all about? 😄 trying to be different i suppose.
I'm going to be fishing and new spot, it's a bit of a walk and very overgrown. I'm thinking of going down the retractable rod route mainly so I can strap it to my rucksack for the walk and make it easier once there with the overhanging trees etc.
Has anyone used them for Barbeling and any you'd...
I was asking for an idea on a price for the rod and when I got an idea I was going to do a new post with pictures and photos.
You just put "??" And I didn't understand what you meant by that.
Just wondering the going rate for the above rod? Never used so in as new condition.
Once I get an idea on price I'll pop it up for sale with pictures.
Thanks
I recently bought some 11ft 2.25lb rods, the bloke I bought them from said the were custom gti blanks. I did email Steve Harrison and he confirmed they probably were gti's. I just have nothing to compare them to.
They are very nice rods, landed me big Thames Barbel and casting 4oz feeders mid...
I use 12ft 2lb Torrix for Tench and find them perfect for the job, like you landing me big carp to 44.8. I use 11ft 2.25lb harrison gti's for bigger river Barbel, they are very through action and think they wouldn't have copped as well with that Carp.
