I 100% agree the stiffness and power are not the same thing. But to me, the power of the rod is when a rod bends under an external force, the force it generates to restore itself.

Well, after using the13ft new avenger, I decided to sell my acolyte specimen and get an avenger instead, but it’s just me.

I have the original avenger and 14ft hardy specialist (it was yours btw), I feel the new avenger is more power than both original and hardy.

The microlite is a great little rod, tested today and really pleased with it.

No, honestly, there's no reason to spend that much on a rod, even though I did do it, I still say no. I did it because I am a tackle tart and want to please myself; it wont catch you more fish.

Basia has a slim and lighter blank compared to C3; the action is super, forgiving, but not floppy. I also like the handle and the reel seat, which look really lovely, but that is very personal. Casting very well, I used it with 2oz to 5oz leads, and never had a problem.

Basia is the one, I have both c3 and basia 2.25, blank wise, basia is way better. I personally don’t feel the guides is a problem even some people think the guides on basia are not good enough.
