I agree with Paul, TFG pins are well made. My first pin was the Classic. I liked this reel as it needed only a tiny tap to get it turning. Then i bought a Sheffield another nice reel, put together well and ran smoothly straight out of the box but was heavier than the Classic. Next, i bought a...
Feeder wise i would say 6 to 8 oz loaded cage feeders. On my son's 12ft, 2.75 Carp rod i did try a 10 oz feeder but it didn't feel right. It felt it was pushing the limit. Am sure someone who fishes flood waters will come along soon to give you more insight.
I've used a two rod Drennan super specialist quiver bag for years. I carry a 60 inch sided brolly in the centre pocket with ease leaving room for bank sticks and landing pole.
Any chance of changing the font for more bolder one like this Ariel. As the font you are using i quite hard to read even with my glasses. Us with poor eyesight need a font that doesn't bleed into each other.

Have a look at a TFG free flow CP. Nice and light.Very well made. Been told they are fitted with ABEC 7 bearings. Might explain why mine is very free running. A line guard can be bought extra
I can highly recommend the TFG classic barbel rods. About £41.00 with free P&P from Fishtec. Full Cork handles the action is a though action. Good reel seat. They are really well made. The 1.5 and 2lb. The 1.5lb I've had it nearly bent in half. Also had a 35.7lb Carp with the 2lber and it...
Back in the 60s, my Grandfather would take me and Dad fishing for Pike, Grayling and whatever else he caught for the pot. He was brought up with his father doing the same. This was the norm for country folk for hundreds of years but seemed to die out in the 70s.
These days the only freshwater...
I used to make my own feeders from the packs from pound land. Colin your not the chap i meet at stemps a couple of weeks ago. We were talking about cork handles.
Down here on the Sussex coast we had a dark orangey sky then it went totally dark at 2 pm. This morning the cars all have a light covering of sand. Been informed it had blown in from the Sahara. Thought the end was near.:(
There's a well known repairer near Dover. His name slips my mind at the moment but Bob comes forward. He's top notch having repaired a pair for me and altering the length on another pair.
I've got a pair of breathable stockingfoot waders from Bison. Lasted me over 5 years of river and sea...
Whilst fishing in the South Downs at night around 5 years ago, a glowing light caught my eye. Then i noticed it was being followed by about 50 more. Now ive seen the usual nigh sky movements like shooting stars etc but none like these. They were just floating along, not loosing any hight. After...
As you say it may not be the best way to attract fish but after nearly 46 years of river fishing, i like to try new ways to catch every now and then. I think I'll give a chance if it doesn't work then it back to my old school ways of meat and Maggots.
Been trying out a new method to me, a pellet feeder. The Guru hybrid in-line type. Now I've had some very good successful sessions on a Stillwater, catching Carp and Bream. Would this type of feeder and 2 and 4mm pellets work in rivers?. Or would the pellets just wash away downstream leaving me...
