Fishing for barbel with Cralusso Floats - Richard Easom

I'm not sure I don't think there is a part 5 Alan. The site is very out of date, that article was from 2012. It looks like the most recent article is from 2016.

    Making your own bait.

Is one of the benefits of steaming rather than boiling that you lose less nutrients in the bait from steaming, a bit like when steaming vegetables rather than boiling them?

    River Wye advice required.

Hi Kevin There are some good day ticket water close to where you are staying also. If you're a couple of miles south of Ross you will be close to the Worcester Angling Society stretch at Bishopswood, you can get day tickets from the Inn on the Wye (I think) which is almost directly opposite the...

    Rod Position Changes

Same here Rich when I used to regularly fish the Teme, it's surprising how far a fish can move before the rod goes round.

    Braid for Barbel fishing.

I use braid mainline on the Trent when it's carrying lots of extra water, I think the lower diameter provides less resistance in the increased flow than my usual mono, and with a heavier breaking strain. I always use a fluoro abrasion leader with it too.
