Had a waggle in the Garden, at 20ft it feels a bit cumbersome but 17ft perfect and very light considering its lenght. Going to try it at Throop in a couple of weeks.
Same, I hand the majority of my Chub and smaller Barbel with my 14ft acolyte when wading so don't think I'll have too much bother with a net and an extra 3ft rod. The only thing is what to do with a net whilst wading, usually it's in a tree behind me and I just carefully walk backwards to grab...

Standing in the Wye waist deep fishing the far bank with my 14ft acolyte + the extra 3 or 4ft would have been alot easier.
Edging towards the connoisseur, need to find somewhere in stock to go have a waggle.

I have an acolyte 14ft plus which I love but would like a little extra lenght sometimes 🤭.
If drennan did a 17ft plus then that would be top of my list. Was looking at the Daiwa connoisseur or Cadence no.2, anyone had any experience with those?

Looking at getting a 2 rod tripod. The korum ones have mixed reviews, what others do people use and anyone use a sea tripod and adapt the front bar to take alarms or rests? They seem alot better build quality.
Great condition rod, comes with 1.75lb and 2.25lb avon tips. Slight wear on the reel seat paint.
Been trying to find another to make a pair but with no luck so I've bought a couple of other rods instead.
