SHIMANO Single handle conversion did you regret it ???

What handles did you get? The ones on the baitrunner st4000.

Any thoughts on rod rings for a custom 11' torrix?

Personally I like the kigan 3d gunsmoke and matching anti frap tip.

    Shimano xr 5000

    Brilliant, thanks mate.

    Shimano xr 5000

Does anyone have this reel and how does it compare in size to the 4000? Is it just spool depth or is the spool a larger diameter? Thanks.

    Daiwa spectron sm2 17 20

If you're local to Hampshire you're welcome to have a try mate

    Daiwa spectron sm2 17 20

Had a waggle in the Garden, at 20ft it feels a bit cumbersome but 17ft perfect and very light considering its lenght. Going to try it at Throop in a couple of weeks.

    Daiwa spectron sm2 17 20

So after months of searching I've finally found one. Mint and unused, still with plastic on the handle and a bargain. Well chuffed with this one!

    17/18ft float rod

Cheers mate but think I might hold out incase there is a 17ft Acolyte specimen rod coming. Won't really need it till the summer anyway.

    17/18ft float rod

Same, I hand the majority of my Chub and smaller Barbel with my 14ft acolyte when wading so don't think I'll have too much bother with a net and an extra 3ft rod. The only thing is what to do with a net whilst wading, usually it's in a tree behind me and I just carefully walk backwards to grab...

    17/18ft float rod

    That would be perfect.

    17/18ft float rod

Apparently the acolyte 17ft sit somewhere between the ultra and the plus, the recommend reel lines are up to 5lb.

    17/18ft float rod

    Thanks Jon

    17/18ft float rod

Thanks Alan, yes definitely need 17/18ft. Standing in the Wye waist deep fishing the far bank with my 14ft acolyte + the extra 3 or 4ft would have been alot easier. Edging towards the connoisseur, need to find somewhere in stock to go have a waggle.

    17/18ft float rod

Looking for float rod recommendations. I have an acolyte 14ft plus which I love but would like a little extra lenght sometimes 🤭. If drennan did a 17ft plus then that would be top of my list. Was looking at the Daiwa connoisseur or Cadence no.2, anyone had any experience with those? Need to...

    River tripod recommendations

Looking at getting a 2 rod tripod. The korum ones have mixed reviews, what others do people use and anyone use a sea tripod and adapt the front bar to take alarms or rests? They seem alot better build quality.

Lone Angler bait bucket & liner. (non plastic)

I have this Double t one with a liner, a bit of the stitching has come undone on the bag but easily repaired.

Fox DUO-LITE SPECIALIST TWIN TIP 1.75/2.25lb

Great condition rod, comes with 1.75lb and 2.25lb avon tips. Slight wear on the reel seat paint. Been trying to find another to make a pair but with no luck so I've bought a couple of other rods instead. £100, collect from Alton Hampshire

    Boilie favourites/recommendations?

John Baker Baits, make your own and experiment. Wouldn't use anything else for Barbel.
