I've had the Pure PocketDAB 1500 for about 3 years now. Very happy with it and the built in re-chargeable battery lasts for ages, 24 hours plat time according to the blurb.

It says 'Read more ...' and yet when I click on the link it just takes me to the gallery page and there is nothing about this capture. Why is this? I've been meaning to ask this for some time as it has been like this as far back...
If its a spoked reel then there should be a release mechanism on one of the spokes. Look for 2 little rectangular shapes either side of a spoke and push them towards the hub then pull the spool away from the backplate.
