IMPORTANT: Code for Theft of Fishing Rights: 116/11
Fishing without permission is a Schedule 1 Theft Act 1968, and therefore criminal, offence. It is not the Environment Agency's (EA) responsibility to deal...
This is something I have been thinking about for the last 18 months since I retired. I currently live in Ashford, Middx and regularly drive the 30 to 40 miles to the Kennet between junctions 11 and 14 on the M4.
The problem is I just can't work out where I want to move to. I don't want to be in...
A friend of mine saw the fishing rights to a length of the R Wye for sale on a website. It was then 'just' the job of persuading his wife and then sorting out the finances. There are often fisheries and fishing rights for sale, trouble is they are usually horrendously expensive.
Having just treated myself to a new bivvy I have this one for sale.
It comes with a heavy duty ground sheet, over wrap and all the necessary pegs & poles. There are no leaks and all pegging points are sound but I have replaced the eyelet above the door. I last used it in Scotland last...

Our next meeting will be on Tuesday 11th February when Duncan Charman will be our guest speaker. Duncan will present a talk and slide show covering his time pike & general fishing on the lakes surrounding Thorpe Park, as well as three of his other favourite venues - carp on the Thames, perch...

Can anyone explain this? As far as I know, Windsor and half the Home Counties are not under Noah like flood conditions yet this screen shot of Romney Lock appear to suggest otherwise, or is it me?
I don't see why you need to use heavier rods just because of your methods. I use the same 1.5 rods regardless of method unless the Thames is pushing through, then I use the 2 lb rods that I bought primarily for fishing the Trent. The 1.5s are twin tips so I can either use a quiver tip or...
Another vote for Loctite but I always use the gel version. The fine hole in the nozzle controls the flow and the screw cap clears the nozzle after every use.
