Get yourself to fiskerton and buy your ticket in advance online for Notts Piscatorials (cheaper online and you don't have to wait for the post office to open 😉)
The top end of the stretch is a bit of a walk so travel light or take a barrow (I do both depending on how I plan fishing)

Brilliant bit of kit!
When I saw Korda release it, straight away I could see it would be ideal for river angling on short sessions.
I'm surprised no one else has mentioned having one.
Thanks

A friend of mine has been using about a year, he's caught some exceptional fish from a number fo tricky waters.
I had a look at it a few weeks ago when I last saw him and it certainly ticks all the boxes.
Thanks

Afternoon Gents,
https://www.davedogpublications.co.uk/products/the-river-trent-book
My mum has bought me the above River Trent book for Xmas, somehow she ordered 2 and therefore has a spare.
It's brand new, not even been out for the packaging.
£40 plus postage
Thanks

Hi Peter,
The hookbaits are going in for 20-30 seconds and the sausages go in for 40 seconds. I'll then air dry them on a rack for 24 hours at room temp then freeze.
I've been using them exclusively for almost a month on a stretch, baiting little and often and fishing paste stringers with a...
Same here, 20lb braid section to 15lb flouro and whatever size hook is suitable to the bait/conditions with a simple knotkess knot.
Never failed me, catches plenty, simple and effective
Thanks
Lewis
Morning gents,
First barbel on the new bait yesterday.
I've been doing very short sessions of 2 hours recently and trickling the bait in little and often (venue is 10 mins from home).
Nothing for the last 3 sessions then yesterday a few chub and this nice barbel 👌
I've got 2 I bought off here from Robert Linwood.
They are immaculate, I've not used them, they are loaded with new 15lb line and have upgraded line clips.
Im not likely to use them as I have different reels for different rods with their own BS line on so won't need spare.
£55 posted for...
Only difference to the untrained naked eye is the speci hook on the left has a slightly inturned eye, otherwise almost identical Id say......
Thanks

Hi Jim,
The specibeaked are terrible hooks, really weak and the eyes open up quite easily.
I meant the original specimen hooks in sizes 12-16.
The new barbel hooks look very similar however I've not had them next to each other to have a look as nowhere near me stocks them.
I should have been...
Not the specimen range, they aren't very good IMO, weak wire and the guage is finer and the eyes are a bit off. I tested them a few years ago and didn't like them.
It's the new Barbel Specimen Hooks that are the same as the Talon Tips I'm told.
Thanks
Lewis
