    Midi Spoppers

Okay, an update to the Midi spopper situation. I have had loads of emails, PMs and messages to make some more spoppers, so have ordered a fresh batch of Spods to convert. I have paid orders for 10 spoppers, I have ordered 21 spods 7 of each colour (red, black and white). When I have covered...

    River Chew (Keynsham AA Waters)

The real South West is Somerset, Dorset, Devon and The inbreds. :) I was born in Weymouth and my family moved to Plymouth when I was 2. 59 years ago. Still here. Been to Pixham twice so far for a weekend each time, blanked on the first and had a little 2lb ish Chub on the 2nd (so still blanked...

    River Chew (Keynsham AA Waters)

No, not me I'm afraid, I'm a (South-West) country boy. I bought a ticket for Keynsham in March for the year, not really intended to use it but it is a bit closer to home than the Severn and I couldn't be bothered trying to get a day ticket at short notice and £24 didn't seem too expensive for...

    Hooklength/ Hair- rig storage

There are much cheaper variants of this box and can be considerably cheaper. I bought a Guru (£13), an NGT (£9) and a.n.other at £6 from the local tackle shop. I use them for hook lengths from 6ft to 12". What I like about them is there is no restriction to the lengths you use, the hook slips...

    Landing net

I've got one and also got a NGT 36" which was a steal for what I paid for it. Both nice nets, but the NGT is both bigger and deeper. I take them both normally when I go fishing.

No more barbel no more carp

And if you forget your leads they can be fished for just free-lining a worm.

A Question. Is there an answer? Floods.

Water Companies are legally allowed to close up their Waste Water Treatment Plants when they go into storm conditions. This has always happened and is because the amount of surface area that would be required to treat all the water in storm conditions would be completely uneconomic to buy, build...

    Braid shock leader

My mistake, I've always thought leaders referred to shock leaders and not rubbing leaders for abrasion resistance.
