    Floodwater rods.

Harrison do a P1, P2 and P3 Beachcaster blanks 13.5 feet or so under the Torrix badge. P1 'Estuary', P2 'General' and P3 'Tournament' blanks. Still got a P1 and P2 blanks. Don't confuse them with Dave's P Predator series.

    Floodwater rods.

Reel Seats - Lots of reel seats around other than the 'standard' and de-luxe Fuji DPS 'pipe type'. The wind down type is uses most of the parts of the equivalent DPS apart from the tightening 'nut/screw. Personally hate oversized reel seats and exposed thread - but that maybe is me. Cringe...

    Rod Power

Reckon that's summed it up for more modern rods and carbon. Some materials used in rod building can give you that initial crack and creaking, but that can be lessened in some areas by using appropriate materials. Fancy my old aramid/carbon Tricasts (early 80s) my have softened minimally but...

Chimera 3, Chimera 4, Torrix 2.25 or Free Spirit Hi-S Big Water to name just 4.

    Landing net handle

I tend to use a two pack that doesn't go brittle. Fix all my reel seats and most other fishing bits with it. Cheers Bob

    Cadence Barbel rods.

Always found fluoro yellow and orange combo best for general fishing, low light conditions and against foliage/greenery. You can add a section(s) of white for night fishing. Just sayin' Some bits over the years (inc blobs) - excuse the crap photos.

    Reel seats

Sorry to mislead but it would have to be done after stripping part of the handle to do a proper job. Try the PTFE tape for a temporary solution. Locking collars can also 'use up' some available screw thread especially on small size reel seats and larger reel foots.

    Baitrunner Question

Maybe a time for self moderation to avoid someone doing it for you. Play nice or not at all. Stay safe. Cheers Bob

    Reel seats

Quite a few unfortunately. Wind down reel seats can loosen - even on Fuji. Sometimes happens when the reel seat is new when the reel foot and reel seat collars bed in. Other causes. If you have enough screw thread then it may be a good idea to fit a locking collar for extra security. Most...

    Which multi purpose rod

Maybe of interest or maybe not but the internal diameters of the same 'size' guide are seldom the same and can vary significantly. For example (all size 8) - Minima 7.1 mm, Fuji alconite KWAG 5.3 mm, Fuji BSVOG 5.0 mm, Kigan 3D 5.7 mm. Cheers Bob

    BFW i-power blanks on order

Right - that's it, I'll go off and sulk for a bit but not before I share the fruits of my labour yesterday. A boring Before and After picture. Harrison Torrix 1.75 11' handle.

    BFW i-power blanks on order

Hi Richard - The isoblobs turned out to be very popular and only offered as a option on new builds on both Bfw and Ai . Two options were offered - small (3mm x 15mm isotope) and large (4mm x 20mm isotope). I was very pleased the way they turned out and offered reasonable anti tangle performance...

    BFW i-power blanks on order

All the very best in the i-powers Andy. As you know I had plenty of fun building them for many years. Nice blank and well regarded by many. Have a couple myself . Cheers Bob
