Harrison do a P1, P2 and P3 Beachcaster blanks 13.5 feet or so under the Torrix badge. P1 'Estuary', P2 'General' and P3 'Tournament' blanks. Still got a P1 and P2 blanks. Don't confuse them with Dave's P Predator series.
Reel Seats - Lots of reel seats around other than the 'standard' and de-luxe Fuji DPS 'pipe type'. The wind down type is uses most of the parts of the equivalent DPS apart from the tightening 'nut/screw. Personally hate oversized reel seats and exposed thread - but that maybe is me. Cringe...
Reckon that's summed it up for more modern rods and carbon. Some materials used in rod building can give you that initial crack and creaking, but that can be lessened in some areas by using appropriate materials.
Fancy my old aramid/carbon Tricasts (early 80s) my have softened minimally but...
Always found fluoro yellow and orange combo best for general fishing, low light conditions and against foliage/greenery. You can add a section(s) of white for night fishing.

For example (all size 8) - Minima 7.1 mm, Fuji alconite KWAG 5.3 mm, Fuji BSVOG 5.0 mm, Kigan 3D 5.7 mm.

Right - that's it, I'll go off and sulk for a bit but not before I share the fruits of my labour yesterday. A boring Before and After picture.
Harrison Torrix 1.75 11' handle.
Hi Richard - The isoblobs turned out to be very popular and only offered as a option on new builds on both Bfw and Ai . Two options were offered - small (3mm x 15mm isotope) and large (4mm x 20mm isotope). I was very pleased the way they turned out and offered reasonable anti tangle performance...
All the very best in the i-powers Andy. As you know I had plenty of fun building them for many years.
Nice blank and well regarded by many. Have a couple myself .
Cheers
