Just noticed that the 11' Chimera Avon 1.25 does not appear in the latest Harrison retail price list. I remember discussing availability with Steve Harrison back in March 2022 but managed to order 3 and then 2 sets. So guess they are still available.
Cheers

11' Chimera Avon rated at 1.25 is a lovely rod. Built some.
Always thought that 1lb 4oz was the same as 1.25lb. The 11' 2 piece Avon used to be quoted as 1lb 6oz.
Guess the days of getting spare spools provided with the reel are long gone. Used to get one and sometimes two with a new reel but this went years ago.
Shame.
Recently found new but old treasure.
Tame compared with the old days when it was real fun with games like 'ban me if you can', 'Every barbel website needs a birdman' 'How many aliases can Ade use' 'It's my society and I'll cry if I want to' ad nauseum - proper sport - too many upstart wannabees these days.
Hope you are well and OK...

From the photograph, it appears that you have a large 4 x 20 mm isotope and these ceased being manufactured some time back.
However, it is possible to remove what remains of the broken isotope by carefully warming the area...
Look like photoluminescent strontium aluminate to me - like the coating I used to encapsulate and hold the isotope in the Isoblob.
The Isoblob encapsulation could also be 'charged' by light or UV to increase the glow intensity and time period (8hrs+).
Glass encapsulated tritium gas (often...
Used the original but occasionally put it through a grinder (not really necessary but had access to one) and added flavours now and again.
Seem to remember it was cheaper and also smelt after a time if the soaked stuff was unused.
Our Japanese Akitas wouldn't eat it, neither would our Korean...
Had quite a few types since the mid 2000's, when the choice was quite limited and the density was more than it appears to be now.
The high density in comparison to natural cork made the handle weight significantly higher.
Things have changed over the last five years with larger varieties of...
