Korda camo bolt and run rigs,

    You didn't mention us Luddite's. 😥 .

Korda camo bolt and run rigs,

Edit: I really should preface my posts with the fact that I'm a novice barbel fisher, so take me seriously at your peril. 😁 I do feather my casts (with both float and when ledgering). No idea why I only started getting tangles with tubing. I'd use a twizzled boom for lines of 8lb and below...

Korda camo bolt and run rigs,

I'm with you. I used one this week and had a few tangles, when the sleeves are supposed to be anti-tangle. I do use the ring that you attach the lead to (picture), but then use a Drennan Big Grippa Stop, rather than attaching my hook link to the swivel, as in Graham #28. This part of the Korum...

    Ruckbag replacement

I didn't think you could attach a chair to the compact one, so I assumed you had the 'full fat' version. .

    Ruckbag replacement

Just bought the Fox Camolite Ruckall. Deeper main compartment and larger, more useful, outer compartments, than the Korum Progress XT. Looks and feels better made and altogether better designed... not least, the simple and very secure chair attachment that Richard drew our attention to in the...

    Ruckbag replacement

Thanks for the reply, Richard, but I'm slightly puzzled... ... the dimensions of the Fox Camolite Ruckall I'm looking at, and the Korum Progress XT, are virtually the same: same height, Korum 70mm wider, Fox 20mm deeper. I'm guessing the volume is the same, at 45 litres - not big at all. .

    Ruckbag replacement

Old thread, but I'm have a volte-face 🥴 and thinking of a lie-flat bag again. The Fox Camolite looks good - I particularly like the chair straps and the side pockets look roomy - but I've not seen one in the flesh. You can buy sternum (chest) straps from outdoors outfitters, so that omission...

Small/ medium river fishing - wait or rove

I fish the W Avon too, and I was there on Monday and Tuesday with a mate who came up from the south coast. We sat it out in a spot where I was previously guaranteed to catch decent sized chub and small barbel, if I sat tight. Monday I got two tiddlers and he blanked, and Tuesday we both blanked...

    Oiling a cork handle

When I mentioned sanding, I should probably have said very fine grade wet 'n dry. .

    Oiling a cork handle

Me neither. I just sand them lightly. It also acts as a trap for dirt - like a tide mark - so it doesn't actually keep the cork looking at its best. Easily sanded, but I agree, pointless in the first place. .

    Korum Pentalite 50" Brolly Shelter

I'll post it for £10.00 - it'll cost more, but I'll absorb the additional cost. .

    Winter is coming

I didn't like my Vass 175's. The material is cold to the touch, meaning I always felt cold in them and the Vass bib and brace design is poor when it comes to having a pee. So I beg to differ - they're not 'the right one' for everyone. I tried the Aqua F12 thermal trousers this week (but not in...

    Drennan Acolyte Specimen and Plus.

Just realised we might be talking at cross purposes. I've always called the rod bag a rod sock - those neoprene things are tip protectors, which you don't get wit the float rods. .

    Drennan Acolyte Specimen and Plus.

Hi Danny, Yup. Rod socks with both of them. Yours for £350.00 and I'll throw the rods in for nothing. 😁 K. .

Make sure Ali Hamidi doesn't get there first. 😁 Whoops.... I see Terry S beat me to it - #12. Great minds and all that... just like the barbel. .
