Finally….., what looks like a great river chair

I've looked all over the net but can't find a JRC X Lite. I think there discontinued I can find a JRC Stealth x lite but that looks to low or a JRC Defender which is 4.1kg.

Hi Mike I did actually do this to my Chub chair which made a great difference but the chair has now broken at the welds so put out to grass.

Finally….., what looks like a great river chair

Can one of the JRC xlite owners please let me know how high this chair can go??. I have dodgy knees so need a bit of height.. I've had a chub Hi-Lite for years which was perfect but alas it's beyond repair. Any pointers to higher light chairs would be of great help. I do like the korum s23...

Free spirit Barbel Seeker or Free spirit Barbel tamer 2lb which is about half the price of the seeker. I think it comes with a quiver tip top section as well as the avon top section.

Finally….., what looks like a great river chair

Ray does the compact fold flat?? It looks in the picture like the legs have to stay in position all of the time and I'm wondering how easy it fits in the car for transport.

Finally….., what looks like a great river chair

Can the Korum compact chair be folded flat for transport??.. Or would it be a case of removing the legs to make it more flat??

    Losing your mojo?

I've been suffering the same results but on midland rivers ( dove Derwent Soar) and even the Trent of late. I kind of asked a similar question and it was suggested to me that I needed to fish with a moving bait as opposed to sitting behind a pair of rods pointing sky wards as use to be the way...

    trotting rod

Hi Tom I've put in my post that I've been looking at the 12 to 14ft glide but any feedback from anyone would be nice.

    trotting rod

Hi Mike I also have the 13ft compact plus and found this can struggle with decent chub on the river Dove Which is kind of why I asked the question. As I said in my post its not as if I want to just take a chance a £200+ rod. I've been looking at the Korum Glide 12 to 14ft and at around £80 I...

    trotting rod

Is the Drennan Acolyte plus 15ft float rod up to trotting for barbel??. I've heard people say they use them but I own one and I'm not sure. You could say go and try it but it's an expensive way to find if its not.

    Wanted Drennan series 7 1.25 Avon/ quiver

Neil can a local tackle shop get you a pair from drennan. You can't deal with Drennan directly and to find a pair of second hand ones sounds a bit of a long shot. good luck either way.
