Errr dove and derwent headwaters peak district , both had fish to over 18 lb , the dove is cold enough for rainbow trout to spawn,,,

About 5/6 years ago i saw a farmer empty a trailor of rubbish ,most was jumbo bags, into the dove, he had a look round ,didn't see me behind a small tree and high grass,backed up to the edge of the river and tipped , i couldn't believe what i was seeing, got the camera out and as it floated down...

I try to bounce it out to where i think i'm on the same ish depth as the end rig, or failing that up to just past the inside crease, then most of the mainline is out of the main flow, no pressure on the rod , when you fish a river with water on most of the " push" of water is surface to middle...
