I've used the Profish for 2 years in 0.28 and 0.30 which is 11lb and 13lb respectively. 13lb is my normal barbel line and I find it great, very tough. Only complaint is it can twist a bit on knots but this has never been a problem. Does not twist or coil anything like Sensor, for me it out...

Are we talking a different beast? Although I gave the box and parts list to the guy I sold it to I am 100% sure it was the same bearing number as the Sheffield as I checked and it clearly states German. :confused:
I recently sold a Aventa Pro and kept a Sheffield. Apart from a few cosmetics I could not tell the difference and I really liked the anodised colour of the Aventa. Anyone know a value added difference?

I bought a couple of the caps. Excellent as you say for baiting up etc. awaiting delivery of the Alpkit. Not to expensive if it's not quite what I want.
I spoke to Jon a couple of weeks ago he said all elliptical pellets were going to be a thing of the past. I had been looking to buy some Sonobaits and some bankside. Never had any luck with the grubbers. Ended up with a couple of others terming them 'bankside barbel Repellents', others catch on...

I've never done a lot of fishing in the dark preferring to retire to the pub after sunset but recent results have seen me on the bank for extended periods after dark. Although I have several head torches and other lights occasionally I would like more light sometimes focused for baiting up etc...
A lot of people I know use Pro gold. I use Tubertini Gorilla Float Fish in dia 0.20 r 0.18 straight through. Floats really well, is supple and strong. Order on ebay
