Back to the OP's question: used original krank hooks and found them bendy, partly straightening on occasions. Nice pattern and although I haven't tried the x version I would do if I run out of ESP Raptors.
Had mine 5 years. Use it with small and large gas canisters. Great stove and very compact. Can be used as an ordinary stove with the the folding pan support or to boil water/cook boil in the bag stuff etc. Not the cheapest tho.
I always thought there was a lot of crushed biscuit in CLO giving it a sweetness. Might be wrong though. Used to use it at up to 45% in boilie basemixes back in the day.
Second that. I have two that are my go-to rods. Can't imagine a light spod rod being much fun. Have used a standard spod rod on odd occasions for carp and pike but it doesn't have much 'action' to it.
Keeping the staff for now. Maybe. At some point soon there will be an 'offer' to transfer to an AD employment contract or take redundancy. Resulted in a big turnover of staff at the former Fosters.
Bought a second hand single wheel daiwa carp barrow earlier in the year which would be fine for what you are looking at. It's not that light but it's easy to push and does fold flat. Got it for carp overnighters and trips with my other half when we take too much stuff. Should find a few...
Bought an ex-military used gortex jacket off ebay three months back. On its first proper use it kept the rain out but then all of the seam tapes inside have now fallen off. Looks like an hour with the iron and new tape to try to patch it up or a new coat will be required. Perils of buying second...
Mark, Derek
Thanks for the suggestions. I'll take a look to see if there is a part number on them. I'm really looking to replace with upgraded bearings rather than OEM parts from Felindre but the part code should lead to the dimensions - hopefully!
Re-posted from the technical thread:
Thinking of replacing the two handle bearings in my 5000 REs. Does anyone know the size of the bearings I would need? I know there are some on ebay, mainly from the US but as I might need 6 sets I'm thinking it would be preferable to source direct from an...
There's a guy selling various pioneer poles on ebay - seems to be doing a breakers operation on it! Worth a look to see if he has a pole that would do? If you look at one of them you'll see his other listing. It's listed as
trakker aqua pioneer ultralight pole front pole 2 49 inch replacement pole
Just got a fine from last september. Paid on line.
Just been over for a weeks carping which turned into a (blanking) camping trip. No brexit issues whatsoever.
Another vote for anti tangle sleeves and feathering the cast before impact. Would just add that whatever you opt for, please consider the safety aspect for the fish and ensure that the fish can drop the feeder/weight if the mainline breaks.
Probably years out of date but is the Evesham town stretch no longer day ticket? Used to fish the stretch below it (right bank) called Huxleys too on a day ticket?
Mark, I'm in one club that stipulates 2 work parties per year if you want to retain membership. Another club has one compulsory work party with an option to pay £10 if you don't want to attend. Even with those approaches there are those that attend to help and those that are simply present and...
