    Mainline for Trent

Used the 15lb. Nice line. A mate also uses and rates it. Currently using Hydro Tuff - I rate that too. But I also like Gt80. All good lines.

    Lockdown lifting

I'm not sure 'immune" is the right term. My understanding is that people who have been vaccinated are less likely to have severe symptoms if they contract C19 and also able to infect others. So even more reason to act responsibly and prevent the spread even if they have had both shots

Recommend me a line for the tidal Trent.

Gt 80, esp synchro, hydrotuff and Big Game are all reliable in my experience. Like Profish Ghostline but just can't find any recently.

    River Ribble otter

Err. Perhaps it might play into the anti-angling lobby's hands Derek. Or do you think it'll swell a pro angling vote?

What’s the easiest way split braid spool

Use distance sticks. A couple of bank sticks will do. Set at, say, 3m and put 50 wraps on them. Voila, 150m and no need for a big field. If you have two empty spools to fill that are the same, load the Braid on and top up with nylon to the desired level. Then you can wrap the nylon onto the...

    Canal Carp Advice

All good advice above but finding the fish is paramount. If you can't spot them then fish to a feature as Bill suggests. Bait and rigs are secondary to location.
