    Hardy15' float rod on eBay?

It’s all academic to me. I’m happy with my TSi and my Acolyte Specimen (for the time being!)

    Hardy15' float rod on eBay?

Ah yeah, thanks Roy 🙂 I’ve been watching it out of interest, but it’s out of reach for me just now and I’d probably prefer the heavier (Specimen?) incarnation. Al

    Narrow Drum Speedia

Stage 3: polishing the spool rim I wanted to smooth out the rim to a nice polished, so today I rigged up an extremely elementary lathe and set to with sanding blocks and Autosol. The spool didn’t zip off like a flying saucer and I’m pretty pleased with the end result. This little reel is...

    Narrow Drum Speedia

I’d rather keep it “Mum” Bill, as he’s a retired chap who doesn’t do it to make money and I’d hate him to be inundated 👍🏻

    Narrow Drum Speedia

A little update on my Speedia. The reel foot was a little bit bent, so I made some inquiries about having a brass one fashioned for it. One well known reel maker was too expensive, so I reached out to someone I was aware of through another forum. The upshot was that I posted the reel early this...

    Why Korum, why?

Well good on you, Huanzhou. To me that looks like it would be a sag-fest after a few sessions.

Another "interesting" product from Korum. All the elegance of an Austin Metro 🙄 https://www.korum.co.uk/en/products/chairs-barrows/kp-k0300050

    Piscario centrepins

After revisiting a terminally boring thread on another forum about whether expensive gear is worth it or not, I am hoping that this is tongue in cheek. I'll give you the benefit of the doubt David, but for the record, I don't give two hoots whether your reel cost £25, £2.50 or £2,500. However...

The MB reel feels silly-light in the hand. Really impressive whatever it’s made of 👍🏻

    Reel experience day

Very nice @Cliff Turner I think the Fred J Taylor trotter looked smashing and can see the nod to that reel in the design of yours.

    Wasing

Ha… I’m not gonna lie, I’m here because I thought that was a misspelled “Washing” and I was intrigued to see what it was about 😂 No idea about the fishery, but always face first for the other!

    Chasing chub....

Out with my son at the crack of dawn for the last fishing trip of the school holidays. Slightly misty at first and took a little while to get going, but a barbel, a couple of dace and eight chub between us made for a lovely morning.
