    Chasing chub....

Had a lovely day yesterday fishing with my son with the help and local knowledge of Mr @Richard Isaacs Best bit of the day was my boy catching this clonking old warrior chub of 6lbs 2oz trotting maggots under a bolo float. If you could see his face then you’d be able to tell that he is pleased...

    Really disappointing luggage.

I have had the rucksack and I still have the rod holdall. The rucksack was sold because… well, because it’s just too big. They got me with all those pockets but I ended up taking almost all the tackle I owned. It’s seriously well made and if I was camping out for a couple of days it’d be...

We can forgive the blurry photo! Great fish mate, never mind all those blanks… it’s all right now (bad music based pun on your name, sorry 😅).

**SOLD** Pair of Shimano Super Baitrunner 10000XTE

Evening all, I have for sale an absolutely superb pair of 10000XTE baitrunners, each with a spare spool. They are in mint condition, with no more than the lightest of marks from use. Both are mechanically sound with bail arm, drag, free-spool functioning perfectly. One is boxed with paperwork...

    Grayling

Occupational hazards I’m afraid Ian. As to the first, try and find stretches with fewer trout. As to the second, what hook are you using? They have a habit of falling off!

    Barbel fishing around Aldwark

Hi David, there’s a lot of club water on the Swale that doesn’t have day ticket access. I’d recommend a look at Cundall Lodge Farm or Helperby, as they both have day ticket stretches (give them a google). Good luck 👍🏻

Daiwa spectron mk2 ,13ft spliced tip float rod SORRY KEEPING FOR NOW

Oh I don't know!! I'm trying to keep my focus on writing a piece on Hebrew verbs that accompany theophanies and the contrast between divine and human kingship in Old Testament prophets... all to say my poor brain may be a bit scrambled :p

Sorry, sorry, didn’t mean that blaming @Richard Isaacs was a good idea 😆

Daiwa spectron mk2 ,13ft spliced tip float rod SORRY KEEPING FOR NOW

That’s not a terrible idea Danny (keeping the rod, not blaming Rich 😜)

    Drennan roving bag alternative

It’s a little frustrating isn’t it? Unless you know someone who has the product you want, or it’s in stock in your nearest shop, you’re left playing a kind of guessing game with dimensions. Perhaps that is part of the plan—leave it vague and let people buy on the off chance they won’t bother...

Paul, that’s extremely helpful, thank you. You’ve saved me £40 as that’s too small for my requirements 👍🏻

    Drennan roving bag alternative

Thanks Chris, I had one of those and it was mahoosive and didn’t keep its shape well. I’m interested in the smaller end of the scale.
