    Boom!

I'm going to get some and give them a go and see how I get on. I'm guilty of not changing a hook when I really should simply because I don't want to throw a perfectly good hook length away.

    Boom!

Have you tried these, Keith ?? I put mine on the lead swivel, works well for a mesh bag. https://www.anglingdirect.co.uk/avid-carp-pva-links?gclid=CjwKCAjwivemBhBhEiwAJxNWN-aFUKX6NyTSQ8jGUdYyzYiqaOMGGYAA_cmNHYlS5OFXFNWzaSIIOxoCWCgQAvD_BwE

    Boom!

Anyone tried these ?? Fits inline and a kicker or shrink tube is required, but it's a means to change the hook without breaking down the whole rig. https://www.total-fishing-tackle.com/korda-hook-klip

    Lugg magic, check it out.

What a lovely river. I wish there was something similar close to me. You could keep your 8oz feeders and stiff rods, I'd never fish anywhere else if I had that close by. Couldn't take this though, he'd never sit still.

    Wild fishing

It wasn't even wild and I fell through this gap on the left between the platform and the bank. Didn't see it as it was as overgrown as the right side. Really hurt my right knee, as that folded underneath me as my right leg went through the gap. Good job the platform was there, as I'd of been in...

    Wild fishing

Ouch. Just looking at where her feet are makes me wince. I'd be in agony if that was me.

    Wild fishing

Sadly, I'm at the stage of my life where difficult swims are now a no-no. Through a few too many Rugby injuries, my right knee has had it. I can't stop myself falling over if I trip on something, so choose to fish swims I feel safer in. Having said that, some of the swims I do fish are high off...

    OMC magic twig

I've said this on another forum, but I don't believe this is the finished article. It looks too crude, and fisheries are banning it on the look of it rather than if it's suitable. There'll be a MK2 version along soon that will have the tweaks on it that make fisheries allow it. Love him or hate...

    Solar 60” Brolly half price

I’ve got one of these, very good bit of kit. Only thing I’d like is a storm sides option. But it’s a brolly not a shelter but you could do a night under it with a little more side protection.

    River Trent float rig.

Try tying some of these babies,..... I knocked this up back in the day. Not pretty, but it worked. Meant all my hooklengths were the same length. You just had to make sure the hook was the correct way in the tier, else the line would come of the back of the spade rather than the front.

    River Trent float rig.

Upper Trent, below Willington outfall when the power station was operating. Warm water on a cold day. Bait apron, Bronze maggots, Ultra stick float. 90340 hook. Good fishing. I've gotten a little lazy nowadays regards my fishing and just lob a lead or feeder out.

    River Trent float rig.

Fishing a top and bottom running line float, whilst standing in the water, no matter what species of fish you're aiming to catch. Is the best way of fishing, in my opinion. I'd imagine lots of us started out fishing that way, I certainly did.

    River Trent float rig.

An observation from my match fishing days if I may, Rich. That rubber nearest the float body. According to better anglers than me (Alan Scotthorne no less) There should be a little gap between the rubber and the float body, as if it's tight up against the body, the angle of the line means it can...

    Impact particles

Sorry, Kev, I don't. I was just having a nosey round. The stuff did look on the larger side, much larger than other Hemp I've seen from our local seed supplier. £40 odd or something.

    Impact particles

If anyone is interested. Future fishing in Newark have 25kg bags of dried Hemp in. It's big stuff, and the person behind the counter said it splits well. They also have bags of cooked hemp in their freezer.

    Thames Barbel

In my un-educated opinion the photo looks OK. Only thing I'd question is where is the guys left hand and what is it doing to support the fish ?? As for the weight of the fish, it doesn't look the stated weight to me, but maybe the guy isn't very big. LOL.

    Of interest to some here?

Yes, they were more of a want than a need, Bill. So not too fussed. If I didn't already have some 2.75's I'd have been a little more interested. The guy offered me the lot for £345 so I'd imagine he offered the same deal to other watchers.

    Of interest to some here?

Interesting. I started watching this this morning, then got sent an offer from the seller. I sent him a message asking what he would take for the Fox's on their own, and I've had no reply. Now They're sold. 🤔

    Seeking Trent Advice

There's A1 pits near Newark. Again, can get very busy, but there are 200 pegs to go at I believe. Fairly easy fishing, and a decent chance of some good fish.
