Good reels - I have 4
Several seasons in now on the Cs10s - no issues at all
Great for float work but I’ve had lots of barbel too on them on tip rods-will do everything you mention - nice reliable clutch , strong bail arm and excellent line lay
Good point re spools ,
I think you get a spare...
A true gentleman who has furnished quite a few of us with some exceptional rods and kit at bargain prices and has shown a great sense of humor when being ribbed by some of us. Some of the banter was brilliant and you took it in your stride- always loved your attitude 👍:D
I sincerely hope you...
He may or may not have made a mistake. I'm not impressed if he has done it but it wouldn't fundamentally change my opinion of him.
Not so much with barbel, but yes, back in the day I would fish way too many pike rods at a time and have them too far apart and I did it knowingly.
I used livebaits...
I couldn't agree more
I was pondering what potentially is this most heinous of crimes if ever proven?
Did he bang the fish on the head?
Did it go belly up after the ' incident'?
Did he put it in a keepnet?
Did he fraudulently claim a record or capture?
No - he may or may not have set up a fish...
And it mentions Peter Drennan on one of screenshots. I'm guessing that this won't be the first legal battle PD has been involved with over the years.
He'll have PR people on it as well as legals. If it were to be proven then the potential damage to both the MB and Drennan brands would be pretty...
Yep as I said for warmth they are awesome but the plastic is quite tough and they all go on the join with the neoprene
So I can still use if piking and sat around all day but as an all-rounder / waterproof boot , couple of seasons
Now I have big calves so that doesn’t help and I did do miles...
My mate hooked this in the Swale earlier this season. He sent the pic to another friend of ours who is a retired GP and he confirmed what we all thought...
He then called it in and quickly had CSI there, cordoned off the area etc. and confirmed they were 99% sure it was human.
Perhaps the poor...
Agree with that on thermal properties , just didn't last, they started to leak where the neoprene meets the moulded plastic- happened on all Grub wellies I've had but I did do a lot of dog walking in them too - Vibram soles were great too. Just expected more than 12-18 months so went All-rubber...
Had a few pair of grubs and whilst comfortable I think they all leaked too soon
Had a pair of these for 2 years - brilliant

Unbelievable place
I always stock up on caps and Tee shirts which used to be cheap , not so sure now?
Braid is normally very competitive
Even Mrs R likes it - have a great time Adam 👍
Yeah I agree - what a magnificent sight but should they be on our coasts??
Assuming our skippers will sport fish and catch & release?
But the thought of one being hacked up to go in my butties really got me thinking
nigh on impossible not to hook them at the mouth of the Tees when mackerel bashing - certainly some squeaky bum moments as the spool empties and you're trying to pull for a break.
Orcas are making their way South ( spotted off Bempton cliffs nr Scarborough last month) so hopefully Mother Nature...
Lovely looking blank and I really like what you've done with the build 👍
I think the price point for a bespoke rod is about right for a twin tip. Again I like the concept of a tip rod on the lighter section.
Just an observation here, but you're into Harrison territory at that level and as...
Richard is right
I have the Nash Ultralite which is comfy, strong ( I’m a lump and destroy chairs) and very light but no recliner
I also have the Nash indulgence which is super comfy and reclines but I wouldn’t want to be carrying it too far
Fox Duralite is a really light chair but again I don’t...
