11ft 2lb barbel tamer is a great rod for that price. But you won’t like it if you are after a fast action rod. It’s a true through action rod and bends to the butt. My only criticism of the rod is the slim handle.
These rods have a huge discount on some shops recently, you can pick for under 80, I would say just buy one and if you don't like it just get rid of it.
BTW, if you are picky, why not try Harrison, freespirit?
I use touch ledgering with the Avon top when I think it is not sensitive enough. You feel the bites on the line before any movement on the tip. But, to your original problem, if the quiver tip has no movement in hours, assume it is sensitive enough, I am afraid you may get same results with...
I used the hydroflo in 6 and 8lb, never really tested the the real breaking strain, but from my experience, pull out of the snag etc, I think like most mono, the true breaking strain is higher.
I am not sure which is the main compartment , but unlike many quivers, the centre compartment on TA quiver is for landing net and pole. The outside pocket is for brolly.
well, if you shop around, you will find that the basia is about same price as a custom Harrison rod or free spirit a range barbel seeker, slightly cheaper than hi s rods. So the same question can be applied to almost all Harrison and freespirit rods. And IMO basia is a far better blank than all...
