Wait, isn’t that your third medium combo?

    Drennan rod socks.

I really can’t trust any rod socks on float rods, so I use rod bands and single rod sleeve, feel a lot safer.

    Gudgeon rod

Thanks mate, I saw those as well, I bought one made by a reputable brand in China, cost a little bit more but the quality is great, they make good ledgering rods, I found the eyes are too small for trotting

    River feeder rod

The drennan medium feeder combo rod, 11.6 and 12.6, will cover most situations when river is not flooded. I personally don’t like the idea of twin tips on light rods as I found one tip is always useless.

So I’ve got a little range of bolo floats.

I am definitely interested. Let us know when they are ready Rich. Thanks

    Acolyte users??

The specimen is a nice rod, I don’t think you can find a better one at that price range. If the budget is not a problem, have a look of daiwa rods, the tournament range are great, I use the old 15ft bu model for most of my trotting. The air z ags rod is just amazing, it’s the reason I sold my...

    OMC magic twig

Unfortunately, for most, barbel fishing is almost the same as passive modern carp fishing.

You are right, it's not on, the lead/bolt rig did the work there. I was thinking about posting this as well.

    Folding pan net for Barbel

Gardner one is really good, If a 30inch pan net is not big enough, than the 36 inch triangular net is also not big enough. As shown by @Richard Isaacs, a 30inch pan net is about the same as 36inch triangular net. And I agree with you, a large and deep nets is must for resting barbel

    Drennan roving bag alternative

I want a small ruckbag for a while, so much easier to find staff, especially in the night. The Nash scope recon bag is also a good one, but more expensive and it doesn’t compatible with the fast matt.

    Drennan roving bag alternative

I use the drennan roving bag, but thinking of replacing it with this one now. https://www.anglingdirect.co.uk/korum-progress-roversack-25l?msclkid=22b5fa271db014ea9fd89d2684873fba&utm_source=bing&utm_medium=cpc&utm_campaign=P-max%20test&utm_term=2333094954924310&utm_content=First%20Test%20-%20AD

    New Daiwa Theory Speci

I know it’s not every one’s cup of tea, but I am really interested in the new daiwa Connoisseur Pro Bolo rods.

    OMC magic twig

It’s designed for modern anglers that have their rods on the rod pod with alarms on and having a receiver in the bivvy while they lay on the bed. Holding the rod and touch ledgering? Come on, they don’t even bother to watch the rod tip…

Calling all users of Ray Walton Rolling Pin Reel!!

I know Ray did that, but from my own experience and especially what you want to do, I would say do t spoil to the edge, otherwise the line can come off easily and sometimes nested inside the back of the spool
