    Floodwater line

Yes. Uncoated Braid far less abrasion resistance than mono as a main line. I do however use it as hooklink. But as mentioned before I rarely use these at more than 12 inches.

Slawek. Most of the Gardener lines are.

    Floodwater line

Well I fished the Trent for a few years near Fiskerton Notts catching plenty of barbel. Never a problem at all, 44 including a dozen doubles within 2 days and no cut offs one weekend. Like the Wye, my local river, equally rocky, and the local Severn, play them hard, rod up high.

Gardener Pro 12lb. Thinner than Hydro per lb. Maybe less abrasion resistance

    Wanted 15ft float road

I've enjoyed my grayling fishing on the Wye, Frome, Itchen and Taff. Finding the Hardy 14ft or the Shaky Mach 1 perfect. With numbers of 2lb fish up to 2.15 they have been ideal when fishing flows that allow at least a bit of water clarity. I'm guessing some of the Scottish rivers, Annan for...

I think this Insight from Luton Tackle shop was near to a Swallow mk 2 Richard. There were few made for other brands including the Christchurch tackle shop and the script on the reel reverse is same as the examples. I read through Tim Lennons bit about them. I may be wrong...

You did Paul. But I learnt two things then. 1.Never trot a foot or two beyond ones rod tip. 2. Pull one or two fingers worth of line from between the rod rings and swing.

    First time on the Wye

The serious Spring floods did major damage. Some areas no fish were seen afterwards. Certainly many Teme fish would have ended up in the Severn that year. Following on from that. Otters were present, and whatever anyone thinks, they did awful damage on the rivers near me. Kennet, Loddon, Pats.

    First time on the Wye

Yes Kevin. Its got so much worse the last 10 years. Once it was a few canoes, now its bloody mayhem.
