    Split Cane rods

Hi Joe - having the same idea as you I bought a Chapmans 500 Deluxe which I believe is about the same as a mk4 Avon, not used it the river yet but it handled small carp and a zander with no problem, worked nicely with an old Trudex I have. Shouldn't be to expensive if you can find one, mine came...

Quivers with sleeves or any other options!?

Hi Rob I use a Drennan quiver with the specialist rod sleeves, well made and light - some might be more rigid but they work for me, the short sleeve is OK for a 3 piece or a float rod but you would need the long sleeve for anything else. Hope this helps - not seen the Aqua one but their stuff...

Doe anyone change to low oil pellets - or do you just stick with what you use in the summer?

    Pellets for Barbel in Winter

Hi - just after peoples opinion as to the effectiveness of pellets in cold weather - most of the carp fisherman seem to stop using them, might be wrong but I think I read they don't break down as quick - could they cause harm? I know that I stop feed my koi in low temps.

    Wychwood Landing Net Handle

Following from the post above, I have 2 Fastnets in my garage in bits - Redport are supposed to the spares but I can get any joy from them. Would love to get them back to being useable as one was my late dads.

    Wychwood Landing Net Handle

Hi - strange post, the twist lock on my landing net handle has stopped working, it doesn't seem to come apart. Has anyone had the same problem and is there a solution other than another expensive handle! Thanks.

    Angling Alls Stars

Like you say it looked stunning and a season ticket is cheaper than 2 days on the Wye! I assume that it gets really busy, thinking of a change from my annual Wye trip next year.

    Korum Fast mat

Hi - don't have one but I have bought one for a friend - they work well, they are a little bulkier that they look but it will definitely replace the one I currently have when it expires!
