Roamer chair or similar

The new wychwood looks promising, although I'm not sure they'll ever top their gear from early/mid 2000's.. seems like everything nowadays has to have some sort of gimmicky thing added to it. Regret ever selling my original Nash nomad. Simple, lightweight, no weird bits..

Fox Duralite if you can find one.

They weigh in at 3.2kg and are extremely strong. Shame the stopped making them.

I like this padded bucket seat, very comfortable to carry and strong. I also have the stool with rucksack from different brands, carrying them is pain.

Oooh, now with added rucksack straps, definitely worth the extra tenner, I may have to splash out on an upgrade

I have seen a Shakespear SKP advertised on ebay with a weight of 2.5 Kg .
This is much lighter than anything else.
Has anybody used one?
I am 15 stone and have broken a couple of Duralites.
Just looking for something else

TIA

I would add that these were the old style Duralites

Dont think 15 stone is particularly heavy? I bet most people on here are a similar weight! I’ve heard a few people moan about the welds giving up on the Fox chairs which is a manufacturing fault rather than your weight (if thats how they have broke?) which is a shame as it used to be reliable stuff

Another thumbs up for me for the Nash - Indulgence Ultralite Chair. I bought one recently so more comfy them my Korum Aeronium, lighter I think, but only downside would be no adjustment for reclining. If it had that it would certainly be a 10/10 so will have to see if I can conjure something to make it more upright for my 15 stone and a bit frame.
I did manage a nearly 12 hour session at the local lake so being of a certain vintage then I'm sure we all feel a bit ache after that maybe.....😃

Google says the average 50 - 60 year old U.K. male these days weighs around 13 1/2 stone……

I’m a skinny wretch which is probably why I have used an Aeronium chair for 3 or 4 seasons without breaking it. I’m told the welds on those break if you are heavy.
