Hi Alec, if you could organise your own currier to collect I would happily package the rod in a plastic tube for you. I would expect the cost to be around £30 mate
 
Thats a very kind offer Jim. Sadly I think it will be nearer 40 and I can't justify paying more than 50 % of a rod for postage. I hope to be up around Barnsley in the summer visiting relatives but that's fluid. Pity it's not a 3 piece, literally, as they at least r cheap( by today's standards) to ship. I have a peregrine avon and would love to have compared the two. Sadly I have to check my enthusiasm.

No worries Alec I know what you mean about the cost of shipping that’s why I’ve priced it at £75 as I paid £100 or £110 posted I can’t quite remember? Mate
