Free spirit rods

Hi Andrew, did you ever purchase a helical? I was looking at them on the net and was wondering if anyone had reviewed them. I can't find much information on them.

I asked John Ross tackle about the 1.75 and from what I remember in the reply was they were similar to the Tamers but with a lower class carbon, hence the lower price.

I found the 12ft 1.75 Barbel tamer too soft so I sold mine without ever using it. But then I went and bought the Guru N Gauge speci 1.75 and those are quite soft too. Now that I've got used to a soft, through action rod, I may have preferred the Barbel Tamers over the Guru.
 
I have a pair of the 10ft 3lb and for the money they're very good.

Edit; I actually bought a third!
