The new Harrison specialist blank

I don't understand why they do the same lengths and the same curves all the time. 10ft or 11ft 6in, much more interesting...
You (the manufacturer) sell what the market wants (looks/price/quality/quantity etc) - not necessarily the best available product.

Even with a custom rod building option ‘people’ still spec their rods with odd fittings/the wrong rings etc etc; or even buy the wrong blank/rod in the first place.

That partly explains why there are so many nearly new rods (custom or otherwise) on the market.

I buy used rods most of the time as like to think I know what works and what doesn’t. However (just for a dose of reality); I keep buying guitars based on the misguided assumption that another one will make me into a decent player - when really I’m rubbish.

Good news for buyers of good second hand rods, be a few 12ft 1.75 tc Harrison Rods coming up for sale with the tackle tarts rushing for the new Aviator Rods.

Thought they were the only ones released so far for the new Aviator specialist range. I know 2.25 and 2.75tc are to follow according to Mark Tunley.

Be nice to see one with a bend in it.. personally I don't like his ring spacing, just one on the butt is bit too minimal for me and maybe 5 plus the tip again...
Butt, what do I know..
Check out Marks article on this so really depends if you go with the general trend in the fishing tackle, or maybe want to be a setter of new trends.

My 12ft rods are the ones I go to last of all my rods. You only really need that length if you're casting a distance. Most the time im using 10ft, 11, or 11.6.
You definitely wouldn't get a butt ring on a 10 footer....

My custom build torrix carp rods are awesome, and I love my mark tunley multi tip, so I may look into a mark tunley Harrison down the line

Same here, I only have two 12ft rods, for flood water fishing, so I can keep as much line out of the water as possible.
