Book inspiration

I fancy a new book to read. Has anyone read any of the below....

Thoughts on them?

Barbel Under the Bridge and Where Amber Waters Flow are both excellent reads. One giving an insight into a period of barbel angling history by an angler who was there catching many memorable fish which may never happen again. The other a fishermans barbel journey on many rivers which I have now read twice so it must be good!
River Gold I wasn't to enamoured with as it it felt like, to me, just what it is, a series of articles some written better than others, whereas the other two books on the other hand are a proper story/journey.

Yes I had a feeling River Gold would be like that

However as someone who is an irregular barbel angler there should be a lot of good information in it shouldn't there?

It's a fine book and you can dip in and out of it, I just think the other two titles, for me, are a better read.

Barbel Under The Bridge is sitting at my parents house waiting for me when I get there for Christmas. Really looking forward to that one.
It’s a great book, much of it may be lost on those who don’t know the Ouse stretches written about but for those that do it’s a lovely reminisce
