Flavours for home rolled baits...

I'm going to roll some baits and wondering what peoples go to flavours are (if you are happy to share!)

I'm currently thinking of getting a couple of flavours from John Baker to try. I've seen that Chicken Tikka has been mentioned on here before.

Both the JB “sizzle” and then the “chicken tikka” with the bio shellfish base mix has been good for me don’t know about anything else as that’s all I’ve used, it gose a long way and lasts me ages 👍🏻

I used John Bakers super milk with Chicken Tikka, and Plum.
Both as a paste and boilie for 2 seasons.
And I caught really well.
At the same time my mate made Bio Shellfish with Ala Salar, and also caught as well on the same stretches we fish.
I think as long as you're using a quality base , the flavor profile is limitless, and I don't think there are many, if any that won't catch barbel.
Whilst it's great fun making and catching on your home mades,
I personally don't think they catch any more than a quality ready made.
I've used Nash scopex squid for umpteen yrs and it's never failed!!.
Sadly no longer in production 😕 😔

Give liquid liver and hydro fish ago 😉 I use that in my own base mix 👍🏻
I don’t use flavours as such, use a food source it soluble 🎣

I got recommended Frost & Flood, but I don’t plan to roll my own with it. After speaking to JB about my idea and him thinking it was a great shout I’ve added a drop or two to a small diffuser mixed with water and I’m going to spray soak my pellets with it in the colder months
