Insight GR60X Line or ESP Syncro XT Loaded.

Not used gr60x but I have used the original gr60 and if it’s anything like that then it will be as tough as old boots and never let you down. Bit springy on the spool maybe but that may have been my poor loading. Hopefully others have first hand experience.

Synchro XT loaded I really didn’t get on with at all, I found it very wirey, didn’t seem to cast well (this was carp fishing so may be a moot point) and actually found the abrasion resistance pretty poor, the non loaded version, just labelled XT on the green spool however is fantastic and I have that on my ledger reels now.

I tried the GR60x and found it very wiry which was surprising as a big fan of the original gr60. Also tried the ESP and was okay but a little wiry…personally I think there is far better line available - Fox Exocet to name just one

Personally thought the synchro xt was horrible, I stuck with gr60 for a while after that. I’m happy with either hydrotuff or GTHD now. I’m a Gardner fan boy for line.

Same here. Hydrotuff or Gt80+ for me.

I tried Synchro XT (not loaded) after all the hype and didn’t like it at all.

I used loaded for around a year and it performed well. It sunk exceptionally well almost like a flouro but that's probably of no interest to the barbel fisher but I do remember looking for the line in clear water from a boat and I couldn't see it. It certainly didn't let me down on one of the most powerful fish I've ever hooked.
Not used gr60x but gr60 is exceptionally strong. Used it for years and not sure why I'm not using it now. I may have to revisit it some time soon.
