Delkim ev-d

Whats everyone's views on these
I believe when they were for sale they had the same build quality as the Txi-ds but obviously didn't have receiver and was missing a few of the gimmicks but were absolutely bullet proof
I also believe the Gardner ATT's are really good for chasing Boris but you need a reciever for sound with them
The reason I'm asking is I've managed to bag 3 x ev-ds brand new still in box's for £136 I will be only using them when I'm night fishing as I enjoy watching the tip in daylight
So just thought I would ask people's views on them

I had a pair briefly, I still kick myself for selling them as I got them for £30 each in a sale

Solid alarms, easy to source 9v battery, very sensitive if needed. Gutted I don't have them anymore.

Great alarm - I have a few
Use them all weathers for piking and no issues
Good battery life, can add and remove snag ears, loud enough and a neat mute function when setting drop-offs
I use then as front rests for barbel( with snag ears) pretty much all the time ,only turning them on if I know I’m going to be distracted ( tying rigs) or in the dark
Even then I have the volume right down and watch for the leds.most barbel bites unmistakable but if the pike are torpid and sitting on baits , as they sometimes do, the vibration sensing can help prevent a deep hooked fish.

Thanks everyone for your replies ... hopefully I will be trying them out next week and even more hopefully I will bag an elusive Dee Boris 🤣👍

I’ve used ev-d ‘s for a good few years, can’t fault them, apart they don’t work with a receiver, I’ve just bought a 2 set of fox micron x’s with a receiver, which for the money seen spot on

Hi Paul
Just a quick question do you use the slimline or the V2 nitelite?? in conjuction with them

Hi Neil
I don’t use either tbh
With barbel fishing you don’t need them
If I’m in the dark it’s the leds on the alarm that alert me and that’s all I need and a tight baitrunner simply to help prevent the rod going in
I sit on my rods and pick them up at the first indication of a fish on
Pike fishing I use APP drop-off indicators
Don’t fish for carp
I have a set of TXIs and they have the illuminated bobbins but I don’t think I’ve ever used them

Thanks for the reply and your adice has been taken on board 👍

I have x2, they’re as cheap as chips and bulletproof.

I use them mainly for barbel when night fishing and with the accompanying snag ears.

Also, I’d have no qualms buying any Delkim stuff 2nd hand either as spares are readily available.

But just be aware that Delkim do not support their older products. Repairs are possible by other businesses like Dalectronics, who I've found to be excellent, but don't rely on Delkim for repairs of their own older products.
