Ross Club, be aware possible water closure.

Just a heads up that the water temp of the Wye has been recorded as just over 23 degrees and if this increases to 23.5
then the Club will close the river sections.

This information for anyone that may be visiting the day ticket sections.
Does that the water temperature get to those levels often Graham? Sounds amazing. I would have thought that was too warm for both the fish and the angler.

I haven't fished at all this year and genuinely thought I would get out this week albeit supervised by the rsm. But sadly that seems unlikely now. My favourite club is, very wisely , raising the issue of oxygen levels and the effects on fish, so week after maybe. I remember years ago going to a match lake, where the owner had forgotten to turn the aerator on the evening before. It was a horrendous sight, like a heavy fish kill in a river.

Monday and Tuesday are going to be really hot, but at least it cools down a bit after, like most rivers currently, it's on it's arse at the moment and desperately needs some fresh water, which isn't going to help!
