Guru dual tip specialist rods

Hmm, I'm really struggling to get used to this 1.25lb version, just feels very soft compared to rods I've previously owned. Very wary of getting the 1.75 now

This may be another expensive purchase that I'm gonna have to sell at a big loss just to move it on 🤣
 
I can finally put to rest whether I want a Torrix or not, and if I did it needs to be the 11ft version so will be good to see yours

Went into my little local store today to get my dad a gift voucher for his birthday and there in the corner were a couple of Blue rod bags. Obviously had to inspect them to see what they were, Barbel Tamers! I've wanted to see one for so long. They were always high on my list of the rod I wanted but reading so many posts about them being soft put me off. I'm not sure what I was expecting, maybe glass rod style floppiness?, but they are perfect!

They were the 12ft 1.75 and I can't get over how light and well balanced they are. The 2nd I held it I was sold, everything I've been looking for, ok it's not 11ft but I can live with that. Rushed off home to put all my rods up for sale to be able to get one of these barbel tamers.

Absolutely lovely rods and had I known what they are like, should have saved myself a lot of buying, selling and just got one to begin with.
 
Hi Mark, glad you managed to scratch that itch 😃 You say there were TWO rods. Can you pm me details as to the shop please? Oh! if you can check out the Dave Mason,Andy Sliwa is the builder10.6 IM6 blank rare but a lovely rod for the type of fishing we do. Reckon you will love it.
 
Turns out they wasn't for sale, they were my mates who runs the shop, he bought them off a customer, it was his day off today and he must have left them there

But glad I went in today, definitely ordering myself one., he isn't a FS dealer so as much as I hate to shop elsewhere I may have order online from the TB or somewhere similar
