Just saw an advert on Temu for an ultralight rod with a really nice looking wooden handle and really fine blank, ideal Gudgeon rod the baitcaster version is only £12.69 Tried to link but was too long

Thanks mate, I saw those as well, I bought one made by a reputable brand in China, cost a little bit more but the quality is great, they make good ledgering rods, I found the eyes are too small for trotting
 
Thinking about it I bought a 'Shaky Concept bomb rod when they had a clear out last spring. It would probably do a fine job.
I have at my disposal a wonderful 'gonk stretch on the Warks Avon that is crammed full of them, It was one a chuck with a match rod fished stick float single maggot, great fun.
With the demise of Barbel I might have to focus on a different species.😐
