Spam end of season

Hi, hoping to get out once or twice before the end of the season, caught a few nice fish in the autumn on spam mostly rolling or touch legering. Wondering if this is the tactic to go for with the rivers in Yorkshire just settling down nicely and good conditions, or if maggot /caster feeder is the way to go ? I’ve only fished for barbel once this tie of year which was the last day of last season and blanked on both meat and maggot.
Cheers

Try both , it can change from day to day , depending on what they fancy .

Definitely try it. I was out yesterday and down here it was low, gin clear, sunny. In those conditions the wisdom is small baits, small hooks, etc. I’d not had a knock, so on a hunch stuck on a large cube of spam. I didn’t have a chance to put the rod in the rest.
