Just had an invite to join after a very, very long wait

Any members on here that could tell me about the waters they have. They have a fair bit looking at the web site.

I put my name down just for the tench fishing at dunmaston hall.

Any info would be appreciated 👍

Lucky you! I'm something like 750th on the waiting list. I'll be dead the time I'm offered a place! And yes, it's Dudmaston Hall clogging everything up! I want to fish their river stretches which hardly seems fair!

Excuse my cynical attitude but what is SO great about Dudmaston.

I know some of the history through having being a longtime Tenchfishers member and when I walked round there last summer some guy was catching smallish tench on a feeder from one of the few swims that wasn’t choked with weed…..

The club has some nice river stretches and (I think) some other stillwaters…..

They have a nice stretch at Kempsey on the Lower Severn, I've had some good fish there, and a couple of miles at Hampton Loade on the left bank - plus the Unicorn stretch on the opposite bank (don't go there in summer).

Big bonuses are you can fish into dark, and they're generally a lot quieter than BAA stretches.

They also have a bit on the Avon near Pershore - but I've never fished it.

A few stillwaters also, including Dudmaston - which I've fished once and wasn't especially taken with the place.

Weed can be an issue at Duddy, but the weed is mostly on the field/popular/sunny side. I'll only fish for tench via the 'lift method' (ledger caught fish don't count imo :p ) so I find weed to be less of a problem. Their stretch of the Avon is ok for 5lb+ snotties, and zander, but not really a 'barbel stretch'.
