Hello,
Does anyone know where I can get a cage and the 2 screws that connect it to the reel, I have emailed Youngs themselves but they haven’t replied.

Thanks for looking.

As Mark has already said GM will most likely sort you a line guard and the screws out.
You can use the reel without the guard attatched in the meantime though.
Lots of people prefer to remove the guard when using the reel.

100%.
I absolutely hate line guards. They drive me mad even the smallest of quarter guards, I just find them in the way.

Try it without the guard Wayne. You will probably find you don’t need it and the freedom around the drum offered from nothing there in the way is so much better.

I can take 'em or leave 'em really, so long as it's a bickerdyke guard.
No problem wally casting with a bickerdyke guard, even better if it's the large full smiley one you get on the later youngs Triton. I think i've seen those same guards on other later youngs reels also so possibly they are standard now.
Waynes will be ok to wally cast if he prefers to keep it in situ.

I would want the guard for your reel also Wayne, for what it will cost it's a no brainer.
