Ready your pitchforks - another bait question

I’ve been looking at JBs Supermilk base mix on It’s expensive but seems to have a very dedicated following, almost fanatical in places.

In terms of actual usage though, what’s the relative value of sticking with, say Taste F2, in the colder months and just changing up the profile flavour wise away from oil based like Ala-Salar etc

If I was to consider those two options I would look to increase F2's solubility.
 
You could try adding a coarse bird food type ingredient or something that on it's own brings a degree of solubility that follows the original bait's profile.
 
John’s very helpful reply was that Taste F2 is fine for lower temp use - but to change to using TM1 as the main flavour, to be complemented by Chicken Tikka and retain the inclusion of yeast extract.
 
Were you using TM1 or Chicken Tikka?
 
How are you getting on using taste F2?
I’m not a good test case Anthony - combination of a tough venue and limited time available. 4 trips over the past month and nothing to show for it. Not even a Chub rattle. I still have available faith in JB though - even if it’s not through my own success :)

What I can say is that the base mix itself combines very well when I’ve made up 1 egg batches and even with sub-60 second boiling time I’m getting enough of a skin to last 1hr plus (I typically recast sooner than that but good to know I’m actually still fishing). Just bought myself a vacuum sealer so I will be able to prep weeks in advance which is welcome.

Now that the temps have dropped I will try the TM1 / CT combination.
 
I used to just fish using the P1 backrest but then decided on extra security of the Jag Rod Locks and then added the Wolf Multi Angle Lock.

I have only just started using Taste F2 as well and out of 4 trips on a hard river I have had 1 Chub, I used previously JB Bio-shellfish in the past and done very well on that, But just fancied a change from a fishmeal bait.
