Drennan roving bag alternative

Thanks Chris, I had one of those and it was mahoosive and didn’t keep its shape well. I’m interested in the smaller end of the scale.
Hi Alan
What about the Korun Progress ruck bag 35L.. or is that too be large?
Same price as the Roversack.

Can any of you chaps who have got the 25l Korum Roversack tell me the dimensions of the main compartment? If I can get my Greys box in it I'll probably order one.

Has anyone even got one yet? Looks a great little bag - I'm thinking of getting one too (I'm certain my Fox Edges tackle box will fit).

You can figure out the approximate internal size from what's inside it in the photo: Roving Blox 145 x 250 x 91mm and Hardcase Pouch 260 x 200 x 95mm. So it's at least 260 x 345mm, but looks a tad bigger... definitely deeper than 95mm.

I use a Korum Day Sack for short sessions. Not sure if it's still available. Had mine for years and very pleased with it. It forces me to take only what is necessary and not load up with too many cakes and pasties, so good for dieting as well!!

Alan the internal dimensions of the main compartment are 11 inch width, 12 inch length, and 7 inch depth, hope this helps..

I don't understand. The photo I posted shows items that are bigger than that inside it. Have you only measure to the zip?

Kevin, my measurements are the internal measurements, there are 2 hardcase in there range the one you mentioned is the larger one, maybe they used the smaller one for the pictures

To the best of my knowledge, in excess of two years.
They look just the job as an over the shoulder mobile bag.
I never bought much in the way of greys luggage and I probably should have done in hindsight. It’s good quality gear.
I started using my old tackle box again based on your suggestion and it’s been great.
Good job I kept enough tubs back 😂

Looking at the photos (on their website), the Korum ones appear to be both the same size - 26 x 20 x 9.5cm. Although they say one of them is 20 x 20 x 9.5cm, the square one looks oblong to me! Another point of confusion is that they are both supposed to be 4 litres. But it's typical of Korum that they can't even put the right measurements/volumes on their own website... sows confusion all round.

It’s a little frustrating isn’t it? Unless you know someone who has the product you want, or it’s in stock in your nearest shop, you’re left playing a kind of guessing game with dimensions. Perhaps that is part of the plan—leave it vague and let people buy on the off chance they won’t bother returning it if it’s not quite what they want 🤷🏻‍♂️

I know that sounds cynical, but it doesn’t really take much effort to give your potential customers as much detail as possible.

Hi Alan, where are you based? I don't like the stores but Angling Direct local to me has them in, maybe your nearest store does also to have a look?

I took a look at them and they seemed great little bags, the top pocket sized for the Roving Blox which I also use, leaving the main compartment free for other tackle.

I've recently just picked up the 35L Progress rucksack for £44 which is great also, I have a Roving Ruckback still should I wish to go back to a lay flat type bag.

Yeah, Leeds is my nearest. It’s ok, I’ve got an idea brewing 😗
