I've got too many Acolyte float rods. Not one of them has come with anything other than bog standard two/three segment rod bags/sleeves.

Acolyte rod socks do exist, but they are only supplied with tip rods.

My 13ft compact acolyte has a rod sock/case which came with the rod. My 15ft plus came with just a bog standard rod bag.

Just realised we might be talking at cross purposes. I've always called the rod bag a rod sock - those neoprene things are tip protectors, which you don't get wit the float rods.

the rod socks did come with the compact acolyte rods when they were on the scenes. I use the drennan specialist ones a lot which are exactly the same but longer. Brilliant things they are but the Velcro loses its stick quite quickly. I have several sets of them among many other brands and the neoprene Drennans are a clear mile better than others
