Ebay, fees from 1st October

Looks like I got it wrong , I looked yesterday when I first got the E mail and I am sure that it said in the small print there was final value fees deducted from your payout , but re reading it now it appears not .

They are having to compete with other selling platforms…interesting to note that sale proceeds will go into an eBay balance account which will be introduced over next few weeks. I imagine eventually a charge applied here to transfer to bank to encourage use of using it to fund eBay purchases? However, at the moment it seems like a good deal for sellers

Its cobblers , you don't pay listing fees , BUT you still pay 12.5% of value of anything you sell , read the small print , no such thing as a free lunch .....

That was my first reaction, that it was about listing fees, but I 'read the small print' and was surprised to find that the final value fee is 0% for UK sellers, of most items, selling to UK buyers.

Messages crossing - I see you've looked at it again. ;)
.

Where does it state that?

“You won't pay final value fees or regulatory operating fees when your items sell.”

What am I missing?
I have read a bit about the new resolution of disputes fees of £ 16+ which causes concern. Not that I have had more than 2 over nearly 20 years, both of which were carriage caused,, but initially seems restrictive. As suggested the devil is in the small print. It may indeed be no fees on sales but withdrawal of funds may be different. I will revert with my findings later.

Is that only if you can't resolve a dispute and you ask eBay to 'step in', as they say? Usually you can resolve things without them getting involved, and if the dispute is against the seller, they can balance if it's worth £16.00 not to sort things out before it gets that far. It sounds like a good idea to me.
