Ruckall recommendations

Evening.. Thinking of getting a ruckall and ditching my Drennan rucksack.
Has anyone used the Cult Tackle DPM ?
I know the Fox Camolite gets good reviews Abut the DPM is half the price ( both secondhand) Advice & comments greatly appreciated.

Having just googled the Cult one and already having the fox camolite I don’t think there’s much between them to be honest other than the straps on the camolite which you can wrap around a folded up chair. What I can say though is the camolite is pretty well made and sturdy.

Thanks Martin.Much appreciated.
The Fox seems to have more padding on the straps. I normally carry a chair if taking one.

Another point about the fox one is, the large side pocket is bang on to fit a Delkim bit alarm protector case in, the chair straps are long so I can get my chair strapped in as well as a baiting up table, bivvy table etc.

I've bought/returned/kept for a while, rucksacks from Drennan (not enough padding in the back or the straps), various Korum (good, but too long a story as to why I never kept any of them), Thinking Anglers (far too small, and too high on the back) and now the Korda Compac, the 45 litre one.

The Korda one is the best of the lot, but that's because I like a few external pockets (not everyone does... some seems to forget where they put things). The largest outer pocket takes my Fox medium tackle box and two 38cm Preston mag stores (it's designed to take the Korda tackle box).

I'm thinking of getting the 60 litre version, as it's not much bigger, but has a single long pocket on one side, which I will find useful for my needs.

YMMV, etc.

Thanks Kevin. I’ll have a look at the Korda.
Just need something large enough for a day on the river without it falling over and half my stuff ending in in the river 🤣

For the money I think you can’t really go wrong with the Korum ruckbag
It lays flat, opens fully to reveal everything you’ve packed and you’ll pay half the carp tax associated with brands like Fox Korda and Aqua etc
I don’t really rate the Korum chair carry system personally but it does work if you want to use it.
The bag itself in my opinion is a great bit of kit in all sizes.

A ruckall opens when placed flat. You still have the straps to carry like a rucksack IMG_1733.png

I had the biggest of the Korum ones... they call theirs 'ruckbags'.

One large opening seemed like a good idea, but when actually using mine I found that I preferred to separate my tackle from my clothes, drinks and foods, so I went back to a 'rucksack' with more outer compartments for tackle (some people don't like this because they forget where they put things... miraculously, I don't have a problem remembering the contents of five pockets). Plus, the rigid 'base' of the Korum lie-flat got covered in sh1t on the bank, and wasn't covered in an easily wipe-clean material, whereas any bag, with a tough waterproof bottom/base, is easy to keep clean.

Hope you find your ideal bag... whatever you want to call it. ;)

I’m the total opposite in the respect i could not go back to a vertical bag again
I like to slam the bag down, crack open the main zip and see everything there to hand rather than pulling Stuff out to get to Stuff and having the bag topple over on slopes etc.

Thanks to everyone. I can see benefits for both. I’ll probably buy one used and if I don’t get on with it then stick it on ebay.
