Korum Pentalite and Progress shelters

Can anyone recommend or comment on any of these two Korum shelters?

I like the look of a brolly with side flaps, but I'm not sure which of these two current 50" models, or an older discontinued one, to get:

- Pentalite Brolly Shelter
- Progress Graphite Brolly Shelter

The Pentalite (left) has more substantial side flaps and a greater enclosed volume, but there must be a good reason why someone would pick the Progress.

99% of my fishing is on rivers, on sloping surfaces - and (like the images) I only need to get my chair, rucksack and bait under it.

The Pentalite is a good bit of kit, great shelter and relatively lightweight if not a little bulky (easier than Fox specialist to fit in a typical quiver though).

I cannot comment on the Progress Graphite Brolly as I've never seen or used one.

Pentalite for me easy to put up and take down and plenty of room.

After not owning a brolly (other than the occasional one that were soon destroyed in the winter weather). I purchased a Korum Pentalite. I've had it about four years now. A good piece of kit. Quick to put up and down. Survives wet and windy weather and I can just about fit underneath for overnighters. I don't own a bivvy.

I bought a Progress a couple of months back for day trips where I can carp fish and take my work laptop but it’s a real squeeze.

That's good to know. Also looks like the centre pole can't be removed, is that right?
