L of L had a lot of lovely Harrison rods built under the insight colours.
They do look lovely especially when the sunlight catches em at the right angle.

I went to the liquidators sale for Leslie’s at Peacock auctions in Bedford. The sale room that day looked like the PM addressing the troops at camp Bastion, such was the amount of Camo wear being donned. There were some hopelessly inexperienced auction bidders that day, probably not realising that VAT needed to be added to both hammer price and buyers premium (44% IIRC) I watched a few items sell for more than the Leslie’s catalogue price (once commish and VAT was added) and then I walked.Got quite a few and love them….i remember at one time they had a specialist barbel section with its own counter and would often have one if the ‘names’ in situ and great range of tackle, this was height if the Ouse phenomenon , just a shame they were a bunch of miserable sods who owned the shop!
Yep exactly that feeling I had tooI went to the liquidators sale for Leslie’s at Peacock auctions in Bedford. It always felt a bit cliquey in Leslie’s whenever I walked in there. I had the notion that the staff, if you weren’t a regular and part of the gang, just assumed you were a “noddy”.
There was one in very good nick on sale for £80 on FB the other day. I actually enquired about it but it had already gone. Not surprised at that price.I remember when these were released, pretty sure they did them also in green and gold. Quite pricey at the time too….you used to be able to find the old Leslie’s catalogues online, can’t remember the name of the site where people upload old magazines and catalogues, others may know

They were in the wrong trade that’s for sure. Always found the ‘Insight’ label stuff ridiculously over-priced too.Got quite a few and love them….i remember at one time they had a specialist barbel section with its own counter and would often have one if the ‘names’ in situ and great range of tackle, this was height if the Ouse phenomenon , just a shame they were a bunch of miserable sods who owned the shop!
