Looking forward to giving it a run out with the 15ft Hardy.
Perfect condition.

Nice pin them old Arnold’s. (Shame about colour)😂

you don’t need to be an expert at the Wallis cast to get a decent weight float out but it’s certainly a massive advantage if you can do a half decent job of it. Worth practicing every time you take the reel out.

I’m not an expert by any strength but I can do a good 4 rod lengths with an 8g float.
It still goes wrong every now n then

I think this Insight from Luton Tackle shop was near to a Swallow mk 2 Richard.

There were few made for other brands including the Christchurch tackle shop and the script on the reel reverse is same as the examples.

I read through Tim Lennons bit about them.
I may be wrong.

I still have a swallow mkII and they are similar.
Has the insight got the knurling on the spool rim Graham?
They are very sturdy reels.....but pink 👀🤪 😉👍

Yes it has, very gentle though.

It's mauve😃💖 reading through TL notes there were quite a few colour try outs.
Vive le difference. Look good in someone's wall presentation case

My mistake
I thought it was an Arnold kingpin
Very nice little trotting pin that will be.

I remember when these were released, pretty sure they did them also in green and gold. Quite pricey at the time too….you used to be able to find the old Leslie’s catalogues online, can’t remember the name of the site where people upload old magazines and catalogues, others may know

Incidently the most sought after carp rods were once these.

Nice colour.View attachment 31919
Got quite a few and love them….i remember at one time they had a specialist barbel section with its own counter and would often have one if the ‘names’ in situ and great range of tackle, this was height if the Ouse phenomenon , just a shame they were a bunch of miserable sods who owned the shop!
